Masala dosa

Masala Dosa : 


Ingredients : 


 Rice

3 cups
 
Urad dal

1 cup 

 Fenugreek seeds/        
Methi


 1/2 tsp

 Beaten rice/
Poha


1 cup

 Semolina/
sooji
 
1 tbsp
 
Salt

to taste 

 water

for soaking rice 

 Oil

to roast 

 Aloo bhaji/
potato masal

 1 cup


Method of preparation : 

  1. To make Masala dosa batter soak rice and methi seeds for 5 hours.
  2. Soak urad dal for 3 hours.
  3. Transfer soaked urad dal into blender and blend to make fluffy batter.
  4. Pour blended urad dal into a large bowl and keep aside.
  5. Blend soaked rice along with poha.
  6. Transfer it to the same urad dal batter.
  7. Mix, cover and ferment for 8 to 12 hours.
  8. Additionally, mix and scoop batter in a different bowl.
  9. Add rava, salt to taste to the batter and wix well. Add water if required.
After successfully making batter we will work on Masala dosa :
  1. Pour a ladleful batter on a pan and spread in a circular motion thin circle.
  2. Smear a little oil over it.
  3. Cover the dosa and cook till the bottom dosa turns golden brown.
  4.  After that spread a tbsp of aloo bhaji at the centre.
  5. Roll the dosa along with masala.
  6. Finally, serve hot with chutney and sambhar.
