Masala Dosa :
Ingredients :
Rice | 3 cups |
Urad dal | 1 cup |
Fenugreek seeds/ Methi | 1/2 tsp |
Beaten rice/ Poha | 1 cup |
Semolina/ sooji | 1 tbsp |
Salt | to taste |
water | for soaking rice |
Oil | to roast |
Aloo bhaji/ potato masal | 1 cup |
Method of preparation :
- To make Masala dosa batter soak rice and methi seeds for 5 hours.
- Soak urad dal for 3 hours.
- Transfer soaked urad dal into blender and blend to make fluffy batter.
- Pour blended urad dal into a large bowl and keep aside.
- Blend soaked rice along with poha.
- Transfer it to the same urad dal batter.
- Mix, cover and ferment for 8 to 12 hours.
- Additionally, mix and scoop batter in a different bowl.
- Add rava, salt to taste to the batter and wix well. Add water if required.
After successfully making batter we will work on Masala dosa :
- Pour a ladleful batter on a pan and spread in a circular motion thin circle.
- Smear a little oil over it.
- Cover the dosa and cook till the bottom dosa turns golden brown.
- After that spread a tbsp of aloo bhaji at the centre.
- Roll the dosa along with masala.
- Finally, serve hot with chutney and sambhar.
