Doughnuts :
Doughnuts are usually made from flours. We can use all purpose flours. It is typically in ring shape but we can make other shapes as well. Doughnuts may be glazed with icing or chocolate.
Ingredients :
- 4 cup milk warm
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp dry yeast
- 2 cups maida or plain flour
- Refined flour
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 2 tbsp butter
- Pinch of salt ( as per taste )
- Water as required
- Oil to grease & deep fry
For chocolate gaze :
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract/ essence
- 3 tbsp milk
Method of Preparation :
1. Activate yeast by adding milk and sugar.
2. Now add maida, baking powder, butter and salt as per taste.
3. Combine and knead to smooth dough adding water as required to make dough.
4. Grease and cover and let it rest for 1 to 2 hours.
5. Punch the dough and roll slightly thick.
6. Now with the help of donut cutter, cut round ring shape.
7. Allow it to rest in warm place for 2 hours.
8. Deep fry in medium hot oil until golden brown.
9. Dip the doughnuts in chocolate gaze and serve chocolate donuts.
Note :
1. You can also use rolling pin to roll the dough.
2. You can also decorate your doughnuts by sprinkling sugar crystals or as you want.
Rasgulle :
Rasgulle is an Indian dessert.
Ingredients :
- 500 g cottage cheese
- 300 g sugar
- 300 ml water
- 1 teaspoon plain flour
- 1 teaspoon cardamom powder
Method of preparation :
1. In a bowl, add flour, cottage cheese, and cardamom powder and prepare a smooth knead.
2. Shape into balls.
3. In a pot boil sugar and water to prepare a thin sugar syrup.
4. Drop the prepared rasgullas into the boiling syrup.
5. Let it boil for 10 minutes. Every 2 minutes, sprinkle water on the boiling syrup.
6. Remove it from heat and allow to cool.
7. Store it in refrigerator and serve cold.
Coconut barfi :
Ingredients :
- 2 tablespoons ghee
- 4 cups grated coconut
- 4 cups milk
- 1tsp yellow food colour
- 4 Cups of sugar
- 2 tbsp of dry fruits
Method of preparation :
1. Pour ghee in a hot pan. Add grated coconut on to the ghee and fry it on a medium flame until coconut turns slightly brown.
2. Add milk, yellow color and sugar on to the mixture and stir continuously on heat until the mixture gets a little dry.
3. Grease a serving dish with butter or ghee and pour the cooked mixture on to the dish.
4. Cut square pieces after the dish cooled down a bit. Sprinkle dried fruits and nuts
5. Your dish is ready to serve.
Coconut ladoo :
Ladoo is a sphere-shaped sweet originated from india. Laddus are made from flour, ghee, oil and sugar. It is made from the ingredients such as chopped nuts and other dry fruits. Coconut is the main ingredient in coconut ladoo. Laddus are mostly served on festivals or every occasions.
Ingredients :
- 2 cup finely chopped coconut
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp of pink food color ( optional )
- 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
- sliced almonds
Method of preparation :
1. Put the finely shredded coconut in a pan and roast for 2 minutes at low flame.
2. Add the cardamom powder, pink food color and mix well.
3. Add milk and mix till all the coconut is coated with milk.
4. After mixture becomes thick. Switch off the flame and let the mixture cool down for 5 minutes.
5. Start preparing ladoos taking a small amount from mixture and add milk if required, to moist them.
6. When it will ready serve by garnishing with almonds on top.
Kaju rolls :
Kaju rolls are generally made from cashew nuts ( kaju ) with other ingredients. It is an Indian desserts.
Ingredients for pistachios dough :
- 1 cup powdered pista
- 1 cup sugar powdered

3 drops of green food color ( optional )

1 tbsp milk powder
- 3 tbsp water
Ingredients for kaju dough :
-
1 cup powdered cashew
-
2 cup sugar
- 3 Cup water
-
1/8 tsp powdered cardamom ( elaichi )

1 tsp ghee
Pistachios dough :
1. In a mixing bowl take powdered pistachios and powdered sugar, add green food color and mix well.
2. Add water and prepare knead.
3. Further, add milk powder and make knead to a non
sticky dough.
Sugar syrup :
1. Take sugar and water in a bowl. Stir the sugar syrup till it forms a consistency.
Kaju dough :
1. Add cashew powder to sugar syrup and mix well.
2. Add cardamom powder and a tsp of ghee.
3. Stir continuously till the dough is formed leaving the pan.
4. Transfer the cashew dough on to the butter paper.
5. Grease your hand with little ghee and knead for 30 seconds.
6. Roll the dough lightly thick.
Method of preparation :
1. Cut the rolled cashew dough to half. Take prepared pistachios dough and roll the dough into a long cylinder shape.
2. Then slowly start to wrap the cashew sheet and roll enclosing the pistachio roll.
3. Then slowly roll to make the kaju pista roll smooth and cylinder.
4. Cut the roll in 2 pieces.
5. Your kaju pista roll is ready to serve.
